In recent years we have established an excellent working relationship with Trevor Webb at Flood Fortress. With 31 years’ experience working in the civil engineering industry, Trevor has considerable expertise of working with leading companies. He shares our strong passion and interest for flood mitigation, and over the past six years we have collaborated on a number of projects – including a recent project in Deal, Kent.
The project followed significant flooding in May 2014. On that occasion heavy overnight rain led to several of the town’s main roads being completely submerged by rainwater. In some places the waters were up to two feet deep and whilst the worst of the flooding had receded by the following morning, a number of local homes and businesses had already been affected.
To ensure that local residents were not left at risk of further flooding in the years ahead, Flood Ark were tasked with supplying and installing our flood barriers and flood air bricks. The work, which was carried out in partnership with our friends at Flood Fortress, delivered property level protection to 20 homes in the area.
Thanks to our 2014 Kitemark accredited system, homeowners, businesses and our industry partners know that Flood Ark can be trusted to provide a product which has proven time and again that it is capable of withstanding flooding events far beyond those that we would expect to experience here in the UK.Claridges Dulwich College Boat Club
