The whole of England and Wales (and parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland) are covered by weather warnings for rainfall over the next couple of days. Parts of the North of England and the Midlands have an amber warning.
What to Expect

Action to Take
In advance of the worst weather arriving, there are some simple actions you can take.
Protect Your Property from Future Floods
If heavy rainfall falling on swollen rivers breaches major flood defences, then the infrastructure may take months or even years to repair. In the meantime, unfortunately, your property may be at increased risk of repeat flooding.
There are, however, measures you can take to increase your property’s flood resilience, such as tiling the ground floor, raising the levels of plug sockets and installing non-return valves and SMART Airbricks. Our main business is the manufacture and installation of bespoke flood barriers that provide proven property level protection.
Sometimes, following a major flood, the government makes grants available to homes and businesses that have been affected. Although this tends to be a postcode lottery. Check with your local council to see whether you are entitled to some money towards making your property more flood resilient.
If you would like to know more about our barriers, or if you’d like to book a FREE site survey of the flood threat to your property, please don't hesitate to contact our facility on 01603 879977 or email info@floodark.com
